Partnering with Member Associations to better serve the industry
We at FIDIC Credentialing (FCL) are delighted to share an overview of our certification procedures and why it is important for members associations (MAs) to get involved and consider partnering with us to provide international certifications to the professionals it serves.
Who we are:
FIDIC Credentialing (FCL) is a subsidiary of FIDIC and is mandated to provide certification to professionals working in the engineering, constriction and infrastructure industries.
What we offer:
We offer six international certification programmes which are tailored to meet global standards that are relevant to those working in that specific sector.
These certifications include:
- FIDIC Certified Consulting Practitioner: excellent for those commencing their professional careers, who have at least three years of work experience.
- FIDIC Certified Consulting Engineer: well-suited for qualified engineers seeking to showcase their project management expertise in international engineering projects.
- FIDIC Certified Procurement Specialist: tailored to professionals who have experience in the bidding, tenders and project procurement activities.
- FIDIC Certified Contract Manager: suitable for those with contract and project management experience in construction or engineering projects.
- FIDIC Certified Trainer: highlights expertise in teaching FIDIC Fundamental Construction Contracts to professionals working in the industry.
- FIDIC Certified Adjudicator: best adapted to those who have in-depth knowledge and expertise in adjudication, dispute avoidance and dispute resolution.
These are international qualifications are attained through our assessment procedures. Gaining a FIDIC certification also has the advantage of highlighting, promoting and reassuring the industry that the professional has the capabilities needed to meet the specifications of the tasks they must accomplish as part of their job and/or project-based requirements.
Benefits of partnering with Member Associations:
FIDIC highly values its member associations (MAs) and understands the importance of partnership and upholding industry standards. One way this is done is by fostering capacity building. In the same vein, FCL is a strong advocate for enabling people across the world to access international qualifications which has the added advantage of incorporating the FIDIC seal of excellence, as well as showcasing a professional’s skills, expertise and knowledge in this fast-paced world.
By collaborating with FIDIC’s members associations, our international certification become more accessible regionally and locally. MAs can also a provide tailor-made solutions which match the singular needs of their clients, service providers and industry practitioners. This is critical as FCL has seen that there has been an increasing demand for skills training and a fair and balanced knowledge testing. A collaboration with FCL would therefore offer MAs a vital opportunity to tap into this as a resource provider and they can offer a vital pathway to access global qualifications which can be tailored (through specific routes or training packages) to the needs of those working in their country and the targeted infrastructure sectors.
