FIDIC hosts a special meeting for all the Adjudicators certified by FCL

This month, FIDIC is holding a special meeting between the FIDIC President and the Adjudicators who have been certified by FIDIC Credentialing Ltd. (FCL) this year.

It was considered timely to organise a meeting where all those who are FIDIC Certified Adjudicators could meet the President of FIDIC, particularly given the recent changes in the certification process and following on from the three assessment sessions for the newly certified candidates which took place in 2021. This meeting will also serve as an important opportunity for those who were previously listed on the FIDIC President’s List and accredited through the APA process to discuss with the President and get a better understanding of the future process and the changes that have taken place in the last year and a half.

The FIDIC President, Mr Anthony Barry, will share his strategic vision and provide an overview of the process for the appointment of adjudicators and what it means to be listed. The FIDIC CEO, Dr Nelson Ogunshakin, will also share some insights into the meaning of certification, the role of FCL and the future benefits which form integral aspects of becoming a FIDIC Certified Adjudicator.

The members will be given a chance to ask questions, interact and get to know more about each other. This is a first step which are part of the future plans aimed at encouraging greater networking and engagement for those listed on the FIDIC President’s List.

FCL is pleased to announce that after completing the 2nd session of its Adjudicator assessment in September 2021, 14 adjudicators were certified by FCL. In November 2021, 17 candidates were evaluated during the last adjudicator assessment which took place over the course of two phased sessions.

This meeting with the President is only open to those who have been invited and who are members of the FIDIC President’s List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators. It is expected that the Certified Adjudicators will use this opportunity to get to know each other better and to get a better understanding of their future professional prospects and the benefits of the partnership with FIDIC.
