Certification in the FCL context means receiving, after an examination and/or an assessment process, a certificate in the relevant field of expertise.
The purpose of certification of persons is to measure the competence of individuals.
Competence is defined as the ability to apply knowledge and skills to achieve intended results.
FCL aims to receive ISO accreditation from the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) according to the standards set in ISO 17024: 2012. FCL certificates issued prior to obtaining such an accreditation shall not have or be deemed to have ISO accredited status and should not be presented as such. Neither FCL nor its partners have any obligation to have FCL certification programmes recognised by any institution or organisation.
Take a look at the certification programme that you are interested in, consider the assessment flowchart for that programme, then fill out the expression of interest form and send us your application. You will be contacted subsequent to your application verification. Please note that this application process might require a non-refundable application fee payment.
The cost for a certification programme depends on the programme and the model which is chosen for the certification. There are different cost structures applicable to each programme. The information relevant to the programme of interest to you is available on the page of the certification programme.

Anyone who has the right qualifications and meets the application and programme criteria as set by the Certification Board and the relevant FCL Committees can apply for certification.

Experienced professionals may be well equipped to pass the exam without training. Training is one method which is offered to assist candidates improve their knowledge of FBOK, but this is not a mandatory requirement.
